HELLO. I missed you. I have more recipes to share with you than I can count, and I am living for all your fall requests from the last newsletter. Soup season is COMING and I have some really unique and special ones I want to share with you. But in the meantime, let’s get into it!
Weekly round-up!
This is actually two weeks - because last weekend I was a little occupied with two weddings and a hurricane (whoops) - so there’s a lot in the mix!
Brown Butter & Sage Pumpkin Bread, a classic - video here, recipe here.
Ricotta & Zucchini Spiral Tart - video here, recipe here.
Gochujang Glazed Butternut Squash (eating these with egg + rice? UGH SO GOOD) - video here, recipe here.
Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies (the best* btw) - video here, recipe here.
Baked Kale Salad & Crispy Quinoa, my pride and joy rn - video here, recipe here.
Trader Joe’s Butternut Squash Mac n’ Cheese Remake! - video here, recipe here.
And Pumpkin Blueberry Muffins, I told you this was a very “fall” themed week! - video here, recipe here.
And this month’s books!
Since I was off last week…y’know, doing wedding things, I just got to choosing this month’s book/cookbook! I realized I can’t commit to a book club right now (that would involve me having to be….consistent? A crime tbh) but this is what I’m reading in October:
The Dutch House by Ann Patchett
A total classic, but to me re-reading this feels like the equivalent of watching Gilmore Girls in your pajamas. A mandatory fall activity. Plus it’s an easy read where real-life meets fairytale, and in this hectic month, I need that.
Ballymaloe Desserts by JR Ryall
I had the pleasure of meeting JR Ryall during my recent trip to Ireland and I cannot tell you how thrilled I am about his cookbook. This is classic, gorgeous desserts at their finest, and even just flipping through this book is like eye candy. I’ve got my eyes on the poached pears at the moment, but I am trying not to shy away from taking on the meringue gateau….wish me luck!
And lastly, if you missed it I was on GMA!! GMAaaaaa!!! Link here to watch. And thank you for supporting me, because Miss GMA would not have noticed me without you <3
Until next time, xoxo,
Snacks
This makes me so happy
I immediately went to goodreads to add The Dutch House and also immediately texted my mom if she needed anything from the market. Going to pick up ingredients for the pumpkin bread, gochujang squash, and kale salad ASAPPP! ❣️❣️❣️ Happy fall!!
