A Week of Accidental Comfort food, plus! The Long Road to a Book!
A very long but important title today!
Hello from 2pm instead of 9am! A critical error I made last night in scheduling this post, but hopefully you didn’t miss me too much ;) Moving forward, this newsletter will be going out on Saturday mornings at 9:30am ET. This is because I love change but I also crave schedules. It’s complicated.
Now to the announcement!
Some might say I’m botching the rollout of this news, but to those people I say - how can I mess up something that’s going to be exciting either way? The former publicist in me is screaming. She would have none of this. BUT ANYWAY - I’m writing a cookbook!
This news has been very softly launched in this TikTok, and the big, louder (much louder) announcements will come closer to Fall of 2024.
In order not to fatigue you all with book-talk, I just wanted to let you know that it’s coming, and you all have automatically been signed up to my one-time-newsletter that will hit your inbox when it’s ready for pre-order! You’ll know much more about the book when the time comes, but for now I need your help! I’m actively looking for recipe testers.
If you are interested in recipe testing for me in a paid capacity, please send a few paragraphs about yourself, a resume (no professional food & bev jobs required, although I’d love to see your food experience!), and links to your social handles to info@justinesnacks.com.
I’m looking for people across all different skill levels and experience levels, so please don’t feel like you don’t qualify! I’m excited to hear from you, and excited to work with some of you!
But now, the weekly round-up!
This week was an accidental series of plant-forward comfort foods. Slay.
Harissa-Simmered Artichoke Hearts on Toast, a textural masterpiece and SO easy to make - video here, recipe here.
Fennel Salad with Walnut Dressing & Crispy Tempeh - video here, recipe here.
Creamy Orzo, Butter Beans, & Crispy Greens - pasta, beans, and kale? All my favorite foods in one place - video here, recipe here.
All of these are a 10/10, guaranteed to make you happy :) And the last one is a killer meal prep, just sayin’.
But that’s all for this week, and I’m excited to pick things up with you next Saturday! See you all then <3
Xoxo,
Snacks
