I am no bot! Haha. Don’t mean to be really OTT here but I really.. changed my life (health, diet, etc) about 8 months ago - lost a lot of weight, and there have been a few important touchstones in keeping me on this journey/track - and discovering your blog was certainly one of them. Thank you again <3

Not OTT at all - messages like this give me so much life (and gratefulness!) and remind me why I love cooking so much. Congratulations on this new change in your life, and I am honored to have been a part of it. Now brb, crying <333

i was just thinking yesterday that i should make cornbread with the leftover cornmeal from the country fried cinnamon buns. this is perfect!

Omg I, too, needed to use my cornmeal. I guess that's the perk of us having the same pantry (ish) right now!

Perhaps a new tempeh recipe for summer? We’ve been making it into “bacon” for BLTs to enjoy the heirloom tomatoes. Still have to try these muffins!

Can’t wait for the muffins!!! Blueberry muffins were our Saturday morning breakfast as a kid, but those came from a packet that you just added milk! Hope your toe feels better! Have a great weekend!💙

making the honeydew/sumac/vanilla tomorrow for a finish to lunch. Making a double batch of your blueberry muffins, anything with lemon and ginger and I'm in. Love your recipes and your low key videos. Much happiness in your new home.

Justine! I’m making your blueberry muffins tomorrow but want to know about temperature of the ingredients - do the eggs or skyr or milk in the recipe need to be room temp or cold from the fridge? thank you 🙏😊

Hello! From the fridge is totally fine, although I like to set them out when I start the recipe if I can!

So much summer in one post and I have blueberries to use up! I'm interested in the cornbread recipe, but since cilantro tastes like soap to me (yes, I'm one of those people, alas) I'm trying to think of substitutes and nothing really springs to mind that would work at that level and also honor your intent.

Hmmm okay hear me out (because I know the cilantro gene is REAL and I am very willing to accommodate!), does parsley bug you the same way? That's my go-to sub. We could also really go crazy and try a mixture of chives and parsley. Last case scenario: mint, but that might lose its color pretty quick when put on the hot cornbread. Or....just skip the greens and top the cornbread with hot honey and it turns into something equally good.

I love parsley, and grow both curly and flat (plus chives, mint, oregano, tarragon, basil)so all of your kind suggestions could happen! I let you know how it works out!

I don't even know if I like crab but I'm totally going to the store this afternoon to see if I can buy crab so I can make some of those crab salad dijon deliciousness sandwiches. And probably some blueberry muffins because your first sentence made me go...dang, I want a coffee and a blueberry muffin right now too.

The coffee to blueberry muffin pipeline is REAL and honestly if you make them, I hope you experience the magic
